Either way, Western Bulldogs coach Brendan McCartney is not complaining after his side dominated the Lions to run out 68-point winners.
Underlying their dominance, the Bulldogs had seven multiple goal-kickers with Shaun Higgins impressive in snaring 3.3 along with 22 disposals, while Ryan Griffen collected 2.1 and 27 disposals.
Tom Rockliff was one of the lone stars for the Lions in snaring 33 disposals, but his effort around the ground was largely wasted as the Lions were outplayed for much of the game.
