Harden scores career-high 46 points as Rockets defeat Oklahoma City Thunder.
Following their off-season trade deals, Oklahoma City Thunder travelled to Houston to take on former team-mate James Harden and the Rockets.
It wasn’t a memorable road trip for the defending Western Conference champions though, as Harden scored a career-high 46 points to secure a 122-119 win over his old team.
The man with the greatest beard in NBA history scored 16 of his 46 points in the fourth quarter alone, helping the Rockets over the line while Jeremy Lin finished with 29 points of his own.
Kevin Durant ended with a triple-double, while Russell Westbrook and Thabo Sefolosha both finished the game with 28 points apiece.
However, they all failed to outshine Harden, who will put himself in the MVP conversation should he be able to continue his hot scoring form, especially down the stretch.
