The St. Louis Rams have not been afraid to do trick plays this season as they showed against the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the season.
Rams punter Johnny Hekker threw a pass on a fake punt play to seal the win for his team. Head coach Jeff Fisher decided to try this play out again against the San Diego Chargers.
Although the Rams were trailing, 27-17, Hekker threw a pass on a fourth-down fake punt play and completed it to wide receiver Stedman Bailey. Hekker was a quarterback in high school, so his experience has come in handy.
The Rams proceeded to score a touchdown to trim the Chargers’ lead to three points.
Here is a video from Vine of this unexpected but done before play.
