The Tigers struck first with a deflected effort from Croatian forward Nikica Jelavic as his side moved up to 15th in the table with the much needed victory.
Jelavic’s was fed by N’Doye and saw his effort loop off Ciaran Clark and over goalkeeper Brad Guzan into the goal, despite the Villains having much of the early possession.
Hull remained a threat of the counter attack through the game and doubled their lead in midway through the second half as Senegalese striker Dame N’Doye bagged a debut goal for his new club.
Christian Benteke should have added one for Villa late on as Allan McGregor kept out his effort, following a save from Ashley Westwood’s 25-yard drive.
The Tigers win puts them 15th in the table as they move above Aston Villa, who drop into the relegation zone.
