Pacers power past the Mavericks in comfortable win.
The Indiana Pacers sealed a comfortable 103-78 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night, with Paul George leading the way.
George scored 24 points and had eight rebounds while team-mate Roy Hibbert pitched in with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
It was a third consecutive win for Indiana, who have now won six of their last seven games to take their record for the season to 46-27 to move second in the Eastern Conference.
The Mavericks were unable to take advantage of the Los Angeles Lakers slipping up as they look to snatch the final play-off spot in the West.
Dirk Nowitzki had 21 points, but couldn’t lead his team to the .500 mark for the first time this season as Dallas slip to 35-37.
The Mavs host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night, while the Pacers will hope to extend their winning streak when they visit Phoenix to take on the Suns.
