Inter Milan finished a dismal season on a poor note, as they were thrashed 5 -2 by Udinese at the San Siro.
The away side broke through a patched-up Inter defence with Giampiero Pinzi who shrugged off Juan Jesus and finished past Samir Handanovic.
The Nerazurri’s defending was equally poor minutes later when Maurizio Domizzi found himself unmarked from a free kick, and headed Antonio Di Natale’s delivery into the net.
Jesus gave Inter hope for a result when his shot bubbled into the net from close range to half the deficit, before Antonio Di Natale added a third for Udinese with a beauty just before half-time.
Udinese made it 4-1 on the counter attack, as Luis Muriel found Gabriel Silva who chipped the ball delicately over the onrushing Handanovic.
Inter made it 4-2 and resuced a touch of pride when Rodrigo Palacio fired a low cross into the box that was prodded home by veteran striker Tomasso Rocchi. The optimism was short lived however, as Udinese added a fifth just moments later when a long ball over the top managed to evade both Yutu Nagatomo and Handanovic allowing Muriel to get in behind and poke the ball into an empty net.
