The gloves came off but that was pretty much it…
When you think of Ice Hockey fights, you think of multiple punches, fans banging on the glass blood on the ice and referees encouraging the players to brawl.
In this semi-professional league in Canada, fans weren’t quite treated such a spectacle, however.
Instead they were witness to over a minute of two players merely circling one another timidly.
Despite willingness by the refs to allow the fight to happen, Francis Lessard and Sebastien Laferriere seemed quite content to do nothing but but skate around in circles, before being ‘broken up’ by the referees.
Later on in the game, however, the two players made up for the disappointing fight by going at each other in a ferocious manner, which ultimately sent the crowd home happy.
