The Jacksonville Jaguars are opening their season on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles, and they were underdogs by double-digit points.
The Jaguars refuse to be the laughingstock of the NFL though, as they have demonstrated in the first half. Chad Henne was named the starting quarterback despite rookie Blake Bortles playing well in the preseason, and he has validated head coach Gus Bradley’s decision so far.
Wide receiver has become a thin position for the Jaguars, but undrafted rookie Allen Hurns has burst onto the scene. Henne connected with Hurns on a 34-yard touchdown pass to give the Jaguars the lead.
