DeGale vs Gonzales, Joshua vs Legg with Mitchell and McDonnell also featuring.
With the Carl Froch vs George II undercard press conference taking place on Wednesday, James DeGale and Anthony Joshua came face-to-face with their opponents ahead of Saturday’s huge bill.
Having joined up with Matchroom, DeGale will look to put on a performance against Brandon Gonzales as he eyes an opportunity to face the winner of Froch vs Groves later this year.
However, while the Olympic gold medallist is confident that he will be able to see off his unbeaten rival despite expecting a tough fight, Gonzales and trainer Virgil Hunter believe that they will silence the home crowd and ruin plans for another domestic dust-up in the coming months.
While DeGale suggested that his opponent would not be able to cope with the pace and go the distance with him, Gonzales hinted at the possibility that he might not even have to as he has the perfect gameplan to get the victory.
Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua was also present ahead of his bout with Matt Legg, and while his veteran opponent insisted that he isn’t there to make up the numbers, Joshua is confident that he will start the show with a bang on Saturday.
The British heavyweight prospect is tipped for a bright future, but he has remained humble throughout his development and is fully focused on the task in hand as opposed to looking beyond his next fight.
Both Jamie McDonnell and Kevin Mitchell also came face-to-face with their opponents, Na Rachawat and Ghislain Maduma respectively, and it promises to be a thrilling night of action in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night.
The final press conference for Froch and Groves will take place on Thursday afternoon, while all fighters will be at the weigh-in on Friday.
