Liverpool summer signing James Milner has scored his first goal for the Reds by netting a sweet individual strike against Brisbane Roar in preseason action.
Milner, who assisted Adam Lallana for Liverpool’s equaliser against the A-League outfit, completed the turnaround with an untidy – but effective – finish, which came after a brilliant nutmeg.

Milner scored five goals and produced seven assists in 32 Premier League appearances for Man City last season – only 18 of which were as a starter.
However, he also bagged two in as many FA Cup games.
Milner’s best goalscoring years came when he was at Aston Villa.
He bagged 12 in all competitons for club and country in the 2009/10 campaign, after netting seven the year before.
Milner’s goalscoring potential at City was limited due to him being deployed out wide, but he was used in the centre of the park against Brisbane and it worked a treat, as the videos below illustrate.
