North Queensland prop brought back into the NSW side after Game II game ban.
New South Wales Blue prop James Tamou realises he has been thrown a State of Origin lifeline by coach Laurie Daley ahead of the third and deciding game of the series.
After helping the Blues to a rousing 14-6 win in Game I, Tamou was caught drinking driving without a license and bore the full brunt of the NRL boss David Smith.
The Kangaroos stars was fined $20,000 by the NRL and was stood down for two games, which included the heavy loss the Blues suffered at the hands of Queensland.
New South Wales missed the massive prop’s god forward and work in defence, and Tamou says he won’t let anybody down now he has been given the chance to redeem himself.
The Blues will be out to end their seven year losing streak against the Maroons when they take on Queensland in the third and deciding game at ANZ Stadium on July 17.
