Houston Rockets point guard believes being an Asian American had role in his lack of scholarship offers.
In an interview on ESPN’s 60 Minutes, Jeremy Lin admits that he feels his race played a significant role in the lack of premiere basketball colleges offering him scholarships.
The Houston Rockets star who found fame last season as the player behind ‘Linsanity’, received no scholarships during his college recruitment, became a walk-on at Harvard, in which he put up good numbers for a player that was not regarded good enough to play Division I basketball.
Whether Lin’s statement is true or not, there is certainly a case to believe him, giving his ability in the NBA now. You can see the full segment of the show below.
