If there is one thing that we have learned from Jurgen Klopp’s first couple of months in England it is that the new Liverpool manager can sometimes get very animated in his technical area!
Adam Lallana was the subject of his touchline enthusiasm during Wednesday’s tense 1-0 Premier League win over Sunderland, in which Christian Benteke scored the only goal of the game.
Watch the below video closely and you will be able to see Klopp warning the England midfielder, often accused of being a luxury player, to get his head down. “Hey, Adam – you have to fight for it!”

Lallana has started 12 Premier League games this season, but has only completed four of them. He was also regularly substituted under Mauricio Pochettino in his final season at Southampton.
Both Klopp and Pochettino, now at Tottenham Hotspur, favour a high-intensity pressing game and have perhaps identified that the 27-year-old lacks the fitness or discipline to go 90 minutes.
That will soon change with more of Klopp’s aggressive encouragement!
