No. 20 Kansas State is taking on No. 5 Auburn at home, and their offense has gotten off to a rough start. The Wildcats had a prime opportunity to take a 7-3 lead in the first quarter, but they squandered it.
Quarterback Jake Waters appeared to have a good drive going and led the Wildcats to the Tigers’ one-yard line. However, wide receiver Tyler Lockett deflected a pass intended for him to defensive back Jonathan Jones, who came up with the interception.
At the end of the first quarter, the Tigers hold a 3-0 lead over the Wildcats.
