Keith Thurman believes that Amir Khan is currently the most over-rated welterweight as he eyes a potential clash with the British star next year.
The 26-year-old will be in action in Las Vegas on Saturday night as part of the Khan bill, with the Bolton man topping the card with his bout against Devon Alexander.
Thurman faces a tough test against Leonard Bundu on Saturday night, but he is confident that he will be able to come through it and is looking ahead to big fights in 2015.
However, when asked who he thought was the most over-rated welterweight currently, he didn’t hesitate in saying Khan as he believes that he has yet to prove himself at the weight.
Thurman is known for his punch power and his crowd-pleasing fight style, but ultimately he is still making a name for himself outside of the US and he will hope to steal the show on Saturday in order to put his name in the mix with the top fighters in the division.
Meanwhile, he will likely keep a close eye on Khan-Alexander as he could face the winner next year…
