Brook preparing for title bout in California on August 16…
British boxing star Kell Brook has dismissed rumours on Twitter that he has suffered an ankle injury in training ahead of his world title shot against Shawn Porter.
Brook faces his American opponent at the StubHub Center in California on August 16, with the pair clashing for the IBF welterweight title.
While many insist that Porter will provide a stern test, Brook is confident that he will be the clear winner and will not allow anything or anyone to stand in his way of realising his dream of becoming a world champion.
The Sheffield-born star is currently sparring and training in the UK ahead of flying out to the US next week, and he took time out from his training regime to dismiss reports that he had suffered an ankle injury.
After the heartbreak of missing out on world title shots previously, it is unlikely that anything will stop Brook from making it to the ring next month, and ‘Special K’ is ready to thrive on the pressure of the situation and deliver a world-class performance.
