Love sets himself up for the dunk during practice.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love has imitated LeBron James this week, after pulling off this off-the-wall dunk during practice.
The 25-year-old has been in sensational form throughout the season thus far after recovering from an injury-plagued period in his career, and has seemingly took inspiration from James with this effort in practice.
A few weeks ago ahead of a game against the Suns, Miami superstar James grabbed a pass off the wall for himself before slamming home a reverse dunk which inevitably went viral ahead of the NBA All-Star Dunk Contest.
The Timberwolves were in Phoenix this week, and Love tried to see if he could pull off the same feat with his teammate Gorgui Dieng catching the effort on his phone.
Ultimately, James’ dunk remains the more impressive as he finished with more authority at the rim, but Love can undoubtedly be content with his effort while he looks ahead to the more serious business of helping the T-Wolves reach the playoffs.
Minnesota are currently 28-29 for the season and sit in 10th spot in the Western Conference, and with time running out in the regular season they are still five games adrift of the Phoenix Suns who occupy the eighth and final seed for the playoffs.
