Poor kid dropped on crossover before Smith slams home…
New York Knicks star J.R. Smith has joined the long list of NBA players to embarrass kids on the court at a basketball camp this summer with this effort.
While we’ve already seen the likes of Kevin Durant, Jeremy Lin and Joakim Noah pull off similar stunts at their camps in the off-season, the 28-year-old has decided to join in on the fun.
In this case, Smith dribbles his way into distance before crossing-over and leaving his young defender on the floor as he takes the ball to the basket and delivers the knock-out blow with a dunk.
Meanwhile, the reaction around the gym would only have served to make the kid feel worse about the situation, while Smith took in the joy of leaving his inferior competition in a heap.
Check the video out below, admittedly it is still quite funny and I’m sure the poor lad will take some consolation from the fact that it was an NBA star that left him in all sorts of trouble…
