Palmieri scores three in 5-1 win over Nashville Predators.
Kyle Palmieri was instrumental in the 5-1 win over the Nashville Predators on Wednesday night, ending a 10 game goal-drought to help seal the win for the Anaheim Ducks.
Palmieri netted twice in the first period before adding his third in the second, as the Ducks sealed their seventh straight home win.
The hat-trick was the first of Palmieri’s NHL career, while Nick Bonino and Saku Koivu added two more goals to take the Ducks to a 11-2-0 mark for the month.
As a result of their impressive run, they end February on top of the Pacific Division with a 14-3-1 record following a run which has seen them win seven of their last eight games.
Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau will be hoping his men can take that sort of form into March as they look to push the Chicago Blackhawks all the way at the top of the Western Conference.
