SS Lazio thrashed Bologna with a stunning 6-0 victory at Stadio Olimpico.
The star man in the annihilation was undoubtedly veteran Germany international forward Miroslav Klose, who scored an astonishing five of his side’s six goals.
He put the blue half of Rome into the lead on 21 minutes, before strike partner Hernanes doubled their advantage ten minutes later.
Soon the floodgates opened, and with goals in the 36th and 39th minute, Klose had his hat-trick, and Lazio were 4-0 up at half time.
The second half was more of the same, but with the pedal less firmly on the gas.
Klose was able to help himself to two further goals and was taken off after 68 minutes to a well deserved standing ovation.
