In a game that offered very little in the way of chances, Marseille were unable to keep the pressure on leaders Paris Saint Germain.
This was a crucial game for second place Marseille as they looked to move within nine points of the league leaders.
However a resilient Lille team, who have aspirations of a Europa League place themselves, kept Marseille at bay and got the well deserved point.
