After Jeremy Lin burst onto the scene a year ago, a media storm surrounded him, is he still playing at that level now?
In a short answer, no.
That month where Jeremy Lin was the hottest thing in basketball was one of craziest and fun times to be an NBA fan. Wherever you went and whoever you spoke to, it revolved around one man and we were all hooked on Linsanity.
When Carmelo Anthony went down injured, it was unknown Harvard graduate Jeremy Lin who had to fill the role while Melo was absent, and the rest as they say, is history.
The craze reached its peak when Lin drained this buzzer beater to secure a much needed as the Knicks were chasing the playoffs.
It sadly had to end at some point, and once Anthony returned, Lin was back on the bench, and the whole Linsanity craze was gone as quickly as it came.
However during the off-season, the Houston Rockets clearly bought into the point guard enough to trade for him, and Lin is now having a successful start to his Rockets career and helping them stay in playoff contention.
While Linsanity may no longer exist, it is still good to look back at how big it became, so much so, that DJ’s started to put together remixes of interviews and turn it into a song…
