Reds boss heaps praise on irreplaceable Carragher.
Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers has once again reiterated just what a massive loss to the club veteran centre-back Jamie Carragher will be when he finally decides to call it a day at the end of the season.
Speaking ahead of the Reds’ trip to take on relegation-threatened Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, the Northern Irishman went on to confirm that he would be looking to bring in an experienced defender to replace the England international at Anfield this summer.
In previous seasons, Martin Skrtel would likely slot in alongside Daniel Agger at the back, but the Slovakian is out of favour under Rodgers, and has had to settle for a place on the bench at best for much of the season.
