Frank Lampard was a guest on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, and the former Chelsea star was discussing the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool last weekend.
The reigning Premier League champions have endured a miserable season thus far, which has left them with just 11 points from 11 games ensuring that they continue to languish in the bottom half of the table.
Lampard was focusing on the attitude of the players during the game at Stamford Bridge, and was disappointed with the lack of bite and energy that they showed with their pressing.
Given the rivalry between the two clubs following on from their contentious meetings in the Champions League as well as domestically, the 37-year-old was stunned that the home side were so poor in the first half as Ramires saw his opener cancelled out by Philippe Coutinho in added time.
Nevertheless, while he tried to be diplomatic about the relationship between the two clubs, Carragher delivered a much more straight-forward opinion by insisting that ultimately neither side like each other.
While that may be true, Lampard will hope that his former club can put their sixth defeat of the campaign behind them prior to switching their focus to the Champions League in midweek ahead of a crunch clash with Stoke City on Saturday evening.
Jose Mourinho has remained defiant despite speculation that he could be sacked, as noted by The Guardian, but another disappointing week of results could see him without a job if the Chelsea board believe that it is time for a change.
