Audi driver walks away unscathed from mega incident during practice at Le Mans.
Audi Le Mans winner Loic Duval has emerged relatively unscathed after a massive high-speed accident that stopped practice during the Le Mans 24 Hour on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Frenchman was extracted from the mangled wreckage and taken to hospital in Le Mans.
His Audi Sport team have reported on Twitter that Duval was “unhurt apart from two grazes to the skin”.
Duval’s car was destroyed on impact after it left the Porsche Curves at high speed and ploughed into a set of barriers.
Last year’s race was marred when Aston Martin driver Allan Simonsen was killed after an accident only minutes into the race.
