Paul and Griffin link up to lead Clippers to win.
The Los Angeles Clippers returned to winning ways on Wednesday night, with a 105-91 win over the New Orleans Hornets.
Having lost to the Dallas Mavericks in overtime on Tuesday, the Clippers were keen to bounce back immediately, and did so thanks to 19 points from Blake Griffin, while Chris Paul contributed 16 points and 9 assists.
The Hornets looked on course for a surprise win through the opening three quarters, but a 26-14 fourth saw the Clippers outlast their opponents. Eric Gordon top scored with 24 points, while rookie Anthony Davis pitched in with 19 points and nine rebounds.
It doesn’t get any easier for New Orleans as they prepare for Eastern Conference leaders Miami Heat on Friday night. Meanwhile, there’s a showdown in the West on the same night, as the Clippers head to San Antonio to take on the Spurs.
