Clippers unable to beat a James Harden-less Rockets.
Despite the absence of James Harden, the Houston Rockets were able to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 98-81 at the Toyota Center on Saturday.
As a result, the wait goes on for the Clippers as they search for one more win to set a franchise record for victories in a regular season.
Chandler Parsons scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Jeremy Lin added a further 15 points.
Omer Asik was also pivotal, as he recorded the 30th double-double of the season for the Rockets with 13 points and 12 rebounds, as the Rockets overcame the absence of Harden who was missing with a sore right foot.
Chris Paul paced the Clippers with 19 points, seven assists and five rebounds, but was unable to prevent them from losing their third game in the last four.
They will hope to improve that record when they take on the Indiana Pacers on Monday, while the Rockets are in Orlando to face the Magic.
