Clippers hold off Grizzlies in potential play-off preview.
The Los Angeles Clippers did just enough to hold off a low-scoring Memphis Grizzlies, with their 91-87 win on Saturday night.
In what looks to be a potential preview of their upcoming play-off series, DeAndre Jordan had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Clippers, while Chris Paul added 13 points.
L.A. sealed the regular season series 3-1 against the Grizzlies, and also snapped Memphis’ 13-game home winning streak with the two teams now locked together on 54-26 for the season in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro will owe a lot to his bench, who added 12 points during a key 14-0 run in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Marc Gasol had 18 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists for the Grizzlies.
Del Negro will now prepare for the visit of the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, while Memphis are on the road to Dallas to take on the Mavericks.
