Bryant scored 36 points but couldn’t prevent the loss for the Lakers.
Despite a sprained right ankle, Stephen Curry played on Monday night after a game-time decision and helped the Golden State Warriors to a 109-103 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Curry ended the game with 25 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds as the Warriors move to 41-31 for the season, putting further daylight between themselves and the Lakers in the play-off race.
Kobe Bryant had a game-high 36 points for the Lakers, but it wasn’t enough to register a seventh straight win over Golden State.
Klay Thompson added 22 points with six 3-pointers while David Lee had 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Warriors looked worthy of their win.
They welcome the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, while the Lakers head to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves.
