Veteran NBA superstar enjoys “try-out” with Serie A side.
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash enjoyed a training session with Serie A side Inter ahead of their International Champions Cup tournament.
The 39-year-old is known for his love for football having played the sport regularly growing up, while he also holds a part ownership of the Vancouver Whitecaps.
However, it was “a dream come true” for the Lakers star this week as he was handed the opportunity to train with Walter Mazzarri’s men, even gaining a few words of support and advice from Argentinian midfielder Esteban Cambiasso.
Prior to the training session, the media in the USA had portrayed it to be a “try-out” of sorts, but as Nash works his way back to fitness after a injury-effected season last year, he would have taken on board the new skills he learnt as well as using the session as part of his rehabilitation.
Inter go on to take part in the Champions Cup over the next few days, but will have welcomed the impact Nash provided as well as the additional media coverage surrounding his visit.
