Ligue 1 outfit take on Spurs at the Lane in the Europa League.
Lyon manager Remi Garde has bemoaned the absence of former No 1 Hugo Lloris in the visitors’ goal ahead of his side’s trip to White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of their round-of-32 Europa League tie on Thursday night.
France international Lloris left the Ligue 1 giants last summer to move to north London, although he will not feature against his old club, with Spurs reserve keeper Brad Friedel taking his place between the sticks.

“Spurs have really evolved as a club in the Premier League,” Garde said in his pre-match press conference.
“I think they’ve made excellent progress. In my time here they weren’t necessarily a team you would find towards the higher reaches of the league whereas now they’re very close to the top of the league and fighting, quite rightly, for their position in the top few places in the league.”
“I suppose it’s a regret for all of us that Hugo Lloris isn’t playing. It’s sad for all of us because he was very much loved, he made a great impression at Lyon. He was loved and is a great guy. It would have been nice.
“We will say hello, but it would have been nice to actually play against him in the team rather than just in the corridor.”
