The Dutchman inspires a dominant lead for United.
Robin Van Persie has established a healthy lead for Manchester United against Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield with the striker’s second goal of the game.
The Netherlands international’s low strike took a big deflection off James Perch which sent the ball past Wigan goalkeeper Scott Carson.
Van Persie can add the strike to the well taken header the 30-year-old scored in the first half to give United a well deserved 2-0 lead over the Championship outfit.
