Red Devils host the nine-time champions.
La Liga champions Real Madrid are visiting runaway Premier League leaders Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The two great European power houses met three weeks ago in the Spanish capital in the first leg of their European Cup last 16 encounter, with the tie at the Santiago Bernabeu ending up in a closely fought 1-1 stalemate.
And now all eyes will be on Old Trafford to see which of the two giants will progress to the last eight of Europe’s premier club competition.
Not only will the contest witness the return of Portugal playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo to the club which he served with so much success for so many years, before the player joined Madrid three years ago for a world record transfer fee of £80 million.
In addition, the tie could also witness veteran Wales midfield player Ryan Giggs’s 1000th senior match for the three times European Cup winners – should he be selected to start the match or come on as a substitute.
