George Rose previews the Sea Eagles season.
You know the Manly Sea Eagles hold themselves to a high bar when finishing 4th is a disappointment. But George Rose admits not reaching the grand final last year was a big disappointment for Manly players and fans.
Manly coach Geoff Toovey has taken extreme precautions to avoid fatigue in the 2013 pre-season using training tactics of rotational resting and delayed training for some players.
The finals hopes of the Sea Eagles will rest on the young shoulders of rising stars Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans. Coupled with Matt Balin and Brett Stewart the halves combination has the talent of one of the strongest attacking teams in the league.
However after losing Tony Williams to the Bulldogs, Michael Oldfield to the Roosters and Liam Foran to Super League, the Manly side have lost some key players. The damage of those loses is yet to become apparent but Manly will have to perform well to improve on last years results.
