This was just the second game of the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Iowa State was a popular pick to reach the Final Four, as 16.3 percent of ESPN brackets did so.
Just 5.1 pct of ESPN Tournament Challenge brackets had UAB over Iowa State. Iowa St was picked by 16.3 pct of brackets to reach Final Four.

The game remained close throughout the entirety of the match, and UAB forward William Lee sealed the win for his team as he made a clutch jumper before drawing a foul after a defensive rebound.
He proceeded to make two free throws to give the Blazers a three-point lead. Cyclones guard Monte Morris made a two-point shot to make it a one-point game with three seconds left, but Iowa State was unable to make another play in time.
Lee led the charge for the upset-minded Blazers by scoring 14 points with 12 rebounds, and guard Robert Brown scored 21 points.
Morris led the Cyclones in scoring with 15 points while adding four rebounds and four assists.
