Leeds United’s winless start to life under new boss Steve Evans continued this evening as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Blackburn Rovers, with owner Massimo Cellino watching on from the stands.
The Whites went behind after just 17 seconds, and this goal from Jordan Rhodes five minutes later, after fine work from ex-Manchester United youngster Tom Lawrence, quickly made matters worse for Evans.

A shellshocked Leeds only threatened a comeback when Tom Adeyemi headed against the post and Mirco Antenucci hit the side-netting as they fell to a fourth successive loss at Elland Road.
In fact, United are without a home win since March. They have dropped to 18th in the Championship table, four places below Blackburn, and could be in the relegation zone by the close of the weekend.
In normal circumstances, a new manager may be given a bedding-in period, but it is not ludicrous to think that Evans is already under pressure after failing to win any of his first three games in charge.
Trigger-happy Cellino has sacked six managers in his 18 months at the Leeds helm, each averaging an 11-game tenure – a statistic which tells us that Evans does not have long to get things right.
