Floyd Mayweather Senior has insisted that his son will “finish it off this time” ahead of his rematch with Marcos Maidana at MGM Grand on Saturday night.
Following on from their initial bout back in May, there were question marks over the unbeaten fighter’s performance, with some suggesting that Maidana had won a significant amount of rounds.
Meanwhile, unsurprisingly, Mayweather disagreed with that analysis and believed that not only did he win the fight by a big margin, but he was also forced to act as the referee as well as the defending champion due to the illegal blows his opponent was throwing.
Nevertheless, Mayweather Sr. insists that they will pick up from where they left off and ensure that they finish the job this time round in order to silence Maidana and his camp once and for all.
The 46-0 champion has reportedly moved closer to agreeing on a mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao next year, but ultimately his focus will be on Maidana on Saturday night and to deliver a resounding performance.
