The 19-year-old winger made giant strides last season.
Rising star Connor Pain has reflected on a memorable 2013 that saw him debut for the Socceroos senior side and become a key player at Melbourne Victory.
The 19-year-old was watching his heroes from the stands at AAMI Park two years ago, but can now claim to have played alongside the likes of Archie Thompson for his country after featuring in Australia’s final group match of the EAFF East Asian against China.
And if that wasn’t enough Victory have handed him the fabled no. 11 shirt, previously worn by Marco Rojas, for the 2013/14 season. Dreams do come true.
