John Wall hits career-high 47 points for the Wizards.
Having been ejected early in his last game, John Wall made up for lost time on Monday night as he hit a career-high 47 points in the Washington Wizards 107-94 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Wall was in inspired form as he drained 26 points in the first half alone to set a personal best, before adding 17 in the fourth quarter to help his team to victory.
The win moves the Wizards to 26-44 for the season, and despite the inevitability of missing out on the play-offs, the promise being showing by their 22-year-old guard will have them optimistic for next season.
Mike Conley led the way for the Grizzlies with 23 points, but it wasn’t enough to come away with the win as Marc Gasol continues to sit out with an abdominal tear.
