Miami take commanding 3-0 series lead over Milwaukee.
The Miami Heat secured a 104-91 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Thursday night, and extended their lead in the first-round playoff series to 3-0.
LeBron James had 22 points, but it was Ray Allen who had a game-high of 23 points off the bench as he made 5-of-8 three-pointers to help Miami to a comfortable win.
However, it wasn’t an enjoyable shooting night for Dwyane Wade who went 1-for-12 for four points, but did contribute with 11 assists and nine rebounds. In contrast, Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen was in prolific mood as he made all five of his shots to finish with 11 points.
Chris Bosh also played a big part as he added 16 points and 14 rebounds, as the defending NBA champions now require just one more win to seal their place in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
As for the Bucks, Larry Sanders had 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Brandon Jennings posted up 16 points and eight assists. Miami have done a particularly good job at limiting Jennings and Monta Ellis, and did so again on Thursday.
It wasn’t enough for Milwaukee who will need their key players to find the points, as they must avoid defeat in Game 4 on Sunday in order to extend the series.
