Under-strength Heat still snatch win in San Antonio.
No LeBron James, no Dwyane Wade, no problem for the Miami Heat. Despite missing the key duo as well as Mario Chalmers, Erik Spoelstra’s team still secured a 88-86 win against the San Antonio Spurs.
Similar to the first meeting between the leaders in the East against the best in the West, there were key stars missing. Yet despite the absence of Miami’s most dangerous duo, they were still able to hold out for the win.
Chris Bosh had a game-high 23 points and hit a three-pointer with 1.1 seconds to go to give the Heat the win while Ray Allen had 14 points off the bench.
Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard both finished with 17 points for the Spurs, who had chances to wrap the game up.
However, their misses saw Bosh seal the title of game-winner and help pull off a real shock on Sunday night.
Miami host the New York Knicks on Tuesday, while the Spurs will look to bounce back against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
