Twenty and counting for the Heat as winning streak continues.
The Miami Heat extended their winning streak to twenty games on Wednesday night, with a 98-84 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 76ers set up a nervy finish at the Wells Fargo Center, inspired by Jrue Holiday who finished the game with 21 points, while Thaddeus Young scored 24.
However, despite their hard-fought efforts, they eventually became the latest victims of the Heat who are now tied for the third-longest winning streak in NBA history. LeBron James went for 27 points and was ably supported by Dwyane Wade who added 21 points of his own.
Erik Spoelstra’s team improved to 49-14 for the season, and 19-11 on the road, with some vital contributions off the bench – from the likes of Ray Allen – seeing them over the line in Philadelphia.
Miami now head to Milwaukee on Friday to take on the Bucks to try to make it 21 consecutive wins, while the 76ers host another leading Eastern conference team in the shape of the Indiana Pacers on Saturday.
