Gregg Popovic’s Spurs have the best record in the NBA at 42-12, and have been led by Tony Parker.
Conquering all before them, they will hope to avoid a similarly heart-breaking end to their season as the last, and make the Finals where they will harbour hopes of upsetting the odds.
Much will depend on whether they can keep the likes of Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan healthy when the play-offs arrive, but should they navigate their way through the West, a potential Finals meeting with the Heat could be one to savour.
