Michael Laudrup has committed his future to Swansea City.
Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has committed his future to the club after winning the Liberty Stadium outfit the Capital One Cup last Sunday.
The former Denmark international footballer – arguably the greatest former player now in management – has a real case to be named Swansea’s greatest ever coach already.
Laudrup has only been Swans boss for a matter of months, but has won the club its only ever major honours with the Capital One Cup trophy.
Of course, there is a fair case that Laudrup has merely built on the success of predecessors Roberto Martinez, Paulo Sousa and Brendan Rodgers, but the Dane has improved further on the model.
There is also the case that his knowledge of the Spanish market has been vital for Swansea.
To find a player such as Michu for as little as £2 million was an astounding feat – especially given that Swansea earned more than that from the sale of Danny Graham to Sunderland.
Laudrup staying at the Liberty Stadium is great news for the club, fans and Premier League.
