LeBron heats up as Miami make short work of Bucks.
The Miami Heat cruised to a 110-87 win in Game 1 of their first round series in the Eastern Conference play-offs against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night.
LeBron James finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, while Dwyane Wade added 16 points and five assists. There was also a significant contribution from Ray Allen off the bench, as he posted up 20 points.
Brandon Jennings led the Bucks with 26 points, and Milwaukee appeared to be capable of keeping it close ahead of the half-time break.
However, Miami came out in the third quarter with much more conviction and led by as many as 25 points in the second-half. The Heat had five players finish in double figures, with Chris Bosh scoring 15 while Chris Andersen added 10.
Milwaukee will try again on Tuesday as they aim to defy the odds and avoid a series sweep, however the defending champions appear to have the better of them and look in the mood to make short work of their opening round rivals.
