The Bulldogs took on UAB, and Smith notched his second interception of the season. UAB quarterback Cody Clements was throwing from the end zone, and he was close to being sacked for a safety.
Clements tried to throw the ball away, but he was hit as he threw it. Smith made a one-handed interception, which was later returned for a touchdown.
