Montenegro held England to a 1-1 draw in Podgorica in their Group H qualification match for FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
The hosts started incredibly poorly, and England took full advantage, with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney in imperious form.
Rooney fired a brilliant long range chip onto the bar in the early stages, and after only six minutes had headed England into the lead from a Steven Gerrard corner.
Half time could not come quickly enough for Montenegro manager Branko Brnovic, who brought on Dejan Damjanovic at half time.
This allowed Stevan Jovetic to drop back into the hole between the English defence and midfield, and Three Lions coach Roy Hodgson failed to react before it was too late.
Damjanovic bundled the ball home to promote riotous celebrations, and the points were shared.
England remain two points behind Montenegro in Group H, and have a real task on their hands to reach the World Cup finals next year.
