Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi has won the Argentine Grand Prix in a thrilling race that saw him clash with title rival Marc Marquez in the closing stages of the race.

Nine-time world champion Rossi took out the race five seconds ahead of compatriot Andrea Dovizioso, with Cal Crutchlow rounding out the podium in third.
Defending champion Marquez looked to be cruising to a second successive victory after he built a four second gap over the rest of the field, before Rossi stormed from eighth place on the grid to the front of the race.
Rossi ate into Marquez’s lead before cutting across the Spaniard who collided with the Italian’s back wheel and went flying over.
The crash leaves Marquez fifth in the MotoGP standings, 29 points off championship leader Rossi.
Rossi (66 points) sits on top of the standings ahead of Andrea Dovizioso (60), with Andrea Iannone in third on 40 points.
Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo is fourth on 37 points.
