A hat-trick from Cavani eased Napoli to victory as Inter’s woes continue.
Napoli booked themselves a place in next year’s Champions League with a 3-1 win over Inter Milan in Serie A.
Striker Edison Cavani took his goal tally for the campaign to 33 with a hat-trick that sank Inter and effectively ended their European hopes.
It took the Uruguayan just three minutes to find the net for the first time, followed by a penalty before half-time and then a 78th minute third.
The away side did level the match at 1-1 for 10 brief minutes when Ricky Alvarez also scored from 18 yards after Camilo Zuniga made a clumsy challenge.
Defeat for Inter leaves them eighth in the table and eight points off the spots for European football.
