For those that watched the NBA Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night, they would have had a sneak preview of what is to come on Saturday; with four young stars of the league set to do battle in the Dunk Contest.
The format has been simplified this year, much to the pleasure of experts and fans alike, with the four participants receiving three attempts to pull off their dunk of choice before progressing through the rounds based on their total points scored.
The Sprite Slam Dunk will be a two-round event without any time limits, while the judges will score every dunk on a scale of 6 to 10.
Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is the current champion, but given that he is not participating, a new star will be crowned in New York.
With such athletic and show-stopping dunkers involved, 2015 promises to be one to remember. Here are the four players taking part in the contest.
